PROCLAMATION OF THE QUEEN'S 90th BIRTHDAY

Rishton Councillors Miles Parkinson and Ken Moss were in attendance at Accrington Town Hall yesterday to hear the Town Crier, Rawden Kerr, make the official proclamation of Her Majesty The Queen's 90th birthday.

A special guest book was set up in the foyer for members of the public to sign and send their best wishes to the Queen and this will be sent to Buckingham Palace when it is full.

The public were also invited into the Mayor's parlour after the ceremony for tea and biscuits.
