HARRY GRAYSON RETIRES AFTER 10 YEARS

Harry Grayson has retired from Hyndburn Borough Council after ten years in the role of Rishton Councillor. He was elected to HBC in 2006 in a by-election when Ann Scaife left office.

Harry was presented with two framed pictures by his Rishton colleagues as a leaving gift. One is a map of Rishton and the other is a shot of him meeting Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Accrington in 2012.

Harry's place on the Council will be taken by Jeff Scales, who beat Ann Scaife yesterday in the local election.
