CHRISTMAS TREE JUNCTION BOX TO BE UPGRADED

The Rishton Councillors have approved spending of £275 to upgrade the electrical junction box by the High Street Christmas tree which will also see the installation of a socket.

Cllr Ken Moss said, "The Switch On Rishton group would like to have the tree lit on the Saturday of their Christmas Fair and this will now be possible. This upgrade will enable the Christmas lights switch on to be organised without the need for HBC staff to be present and represents a considerable future cost saving."
